St. Joseph Parishes

Thy Will be done, O God!
Heavenly Father, in Your Providence, You have called us, over many years and from many directions, to this place, at this time, by Your design, and for Your purposes, each bringing unique gifts and talents to contribute and to share in the opportunity unfolding before us.

As both Blessed Mary and Holy Joseph, in humble obedience, accepted Thy invitation to come together to create a loving home where Your Son, Jesus, could
grow into His mission as Savior, Redeemer, King of Kings, may we, too, come together, in humble obedience, to create and maintain a loving parish home from which the Light and Love of Christ may pour out over all. May we be living witnesses as the Family of God.

Thank you, Lord, for entrusting this mission to us. Thy Will, Thy Timing, for Thy Purposes, and to Thy Glory!

Building project

In the summer of 2025, it was announced that, in response to the anticipated growth of Ashland and the surrounding area—as well as the significant growth already experienced in both parishes—the decision was made to close St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Parishes and form a single, unified parish. This new parish, titled Holy Nativity of our Savior will include a larger church located in Ashland. Further decisions regarding the transition are still under initial consideration.

As part of our commitment to transparency, the minutes from the monthly Parish Council meetings are available on this webpage. The council is composed of members from both former parishes and is led by Fr. Matya. There is an opportunity to give to the building fund in the two ways mentioned below.

If you have any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to reach out to Fr. Matya. Members of the parish council are also available for inquiries; please reach out to the parish to get connected.
